Hi,
I have an Olympus DS71. I have used it lots over the last three years and of course, right after I bought it, they came out with a newer and better Olympus which takes micro SD cards. I recently got moved into a new apartment after a couple years of being displaced myself and having all my stuff in boxes in various places. Since the move, three months ago, I've had the chance to go through everything and get rid of things I don't need. I've discovered there are a few things I'm missing. One is the software for my Olympus DS71. I had it about a year ago, last time I knew where it was for sure. I dont' need another DS71, so am not willing to spend a couple hundred on a new recorder, just to obtain a new software CD. Does anyone have a CD for Olympus DS50/71 lying around that you could either sell me or i could borrow for a month and then send back to you? All I need is to put the software on my computer again, as i had to reformat it and when i did, obviously, I lost the software from it. I've already looked on Ebay and no one has anything there. I've got lots of files I need to get off the recorder.
Thank you for any help you can provide,
dawnielle

Good evening Dawnielle. You don't need any software to get your files off of the recorder. When you connect it to your computer it will be seen as another drive same as wehn you connect a usb flash drive. you can access the device using windows explorer or go to computer or my computer depending on weather your using xp or windows 7. Once you've opened the device you can copy and paste from it to a folder of your choosing on your computer. Have a great day.
